Well, that sucks. I often feel like retiring from golf but it's not necessarily due to any physical pain I'm feeling (although the old knee joints are starting to ache after a round of golf). Hopefully I'll be able to keep going. We had an 85 year old man join us the other day after he caught up to us playing as a single. He shot his age!!! Now he was playing from the gold tees but still...I hope I can just swing a club at 85...I don't care how far it goes.

Yeah I was hoping to use golf to replace basketball bluehoo

And I don't think sitting on the couch watching is quite the same.

I have seen old timers do that myself and my Dad even still gets out to play the executive course (par 3's)

I have been riding the cart since about 1997 but now I hit all my best shots on the range and practice putt before I get on the course and today I hit some good shots once in a while but ended up giving up and skipped the last 3 holes and just took a couple putts on #18 since nobody was there and drove up to the car and put my stuff in the car and left the last card in the cart.

My back can't take it anymore and I know in the morning I won't be able to get out of bed without a couple vicodins.

About the only thing I can still do is shoot a basketball but chasing the ball after every shot is another thing I can't do.

Hopefully I can still mess around making stuff out of concrete next summer.

Or just drive the mower around....oh boy wtf

It sounds like you should be able to keep playing and heck play those par 3 courses when you get to your 80's and you just may get to shoot your age cheerstoyou

As long as I can at least go fishing on a regular basis, I'll never be bored smile

Yeah I have been doing that every week since I was 14

Seabird came by today and helped me haul 10 sheets of plywood home ( and 2 bags of concrete to make it stay in his truck)

Now when I get a chance I will double up the plywood interior on the garage.

Maybe I should let the dipshit crook get all the way inside before I fill him full of hollow points
