Brickyard Crossing Golf Course
Got to play the Brickyard yesterday afternoon. That, my friends, is one l-o-n-g freaking course! Never seen so many par 5, 500 yard+ holes...
We played from the blues, which made it VERY difficult to carry the drive to the edge of the fairway! Great time... enjoyed playing... neat to play a professional caliber course... NEVER again! (Unless its on someone else's dime... again)

Actually, I started out pretty good. For me, that is. Keep in mind I've not yet broken 100 for 18. Almost... did a 51 in my league (9 hole) last Monday. I have the highest handicap in the league. But, you won't get better unless you play, which is why I got in the league.
I've improved, but still suck.

Re: Brickyard Crossing Golf Course
I guess I should have played that course last time
But NOT from the BLUE tee's
I almost played last time and I had a great caddy with me back then
These days I am not a fan of those long par 5's
I am ready for those executive par 3 courses now.......like Blueshoes
And Kurt
OK I better get outside and put on my crown and get to work.......I see a long day and I started a bit late today.

Hey! To quote Kurt, I resemble that remark. My buddies and I do play an executive course about once a week. It's an easy walk, takes about 1.5 hours for nine, and it gets in some work on your short game...most holes are between 150 and 250.
I hear you, Kurt. I've broken 100 a few times in my life (about 35 years of golfing) but that was a public course. In my weekly 9-hole league I shoot anywhere between 45 and 54. Still enjoy the game and I realize I'll never get better playing as little as I do but that's OK. Just remember...golf is not intended to be a violent game...smooth, controlled swing, straight left arm and keep the head steady. Nothing to it. Not!
