At the end of todays second games I will give you a rundown on how many there were and how many are still in....
Its not an official count cause usually someone wants in later and then they will have the late Sunday game or the two monday games to choose from.
Remember ties are a loser.

OK, I'm old but someone in the room is senile!! It's called an elimination pool because those in the pool are trying NOT to be eliminated. You always try to pick winners.

Had the league tourney this am - in the drizzle/rain/wind/mush. League's a 9 hole , the tourney was 18 scramble. Having the 2nd highest handicap in the league, I was paired with the co number 1 player in the league.

We took 2nd and I walked with a sweet $150 cash.

Shot home to shower and head back out and to the game. And the rain. Been damp, wet, damp, warm, dry, showered to head back out to the game and sure to get wet again walking into LOS and out at the end.

I LOVE IT! $7.50 beer money!

There is a whole bunch of truth to that, but I had to be the "best" D player in the league! Keep in mind we had ABC&D players on ea team.
I did contribute. My 3 wood (an actual wood Ping) is my "go to" club. We used my 3w 2nd shot at least 4-5 times. My 7 iron "punch it up onto the green" was really working. Too bad the season is quickly coming to an end... I've been hitting it pretty well the last few times out.

That's what, to me, makes the game of golf so enticing. Every once in awhile, an average golfer or even a duffer like me hits a shot that Tiger would love to hit...realize these are not the drives but generally the inside 150 yards approach shots. Hitting one of those inside 3 feet of the pin...awesome. And the neat thing is that every time you go out for a round it's possible that you'll actually do it!

For me, that's breaking 100 for the first time. Did a 51 on the last actual week we played in the league.

I need to get some more rounds in before the snow flies... I'm gonna get that 98!
