My Old Deere Runs Away Empty My Old Deere Runs Away

Yesterday my half-brother who is an old tractor nut brings by a guy he knows to look at my 1947 John Deere model A (I never said I wanted to sell it to anyone)

Well the guy has 20 Ben Franklins in his hand and tells me he has a nice shop and he wants to restore it to like new again.

I hadn't even started it since summer 2009.

So after filing the distributor Points it fires right up and he takes out the $2000 all Bens......I couldn't pass it up wtf

He only lives 6 miles away but the old beast took over an hour to drive that far on the back road and about a half mile on the highway.

It is a 6 speed high/low but the clutch must need some adjustment.

I followed him in his own rig and it was like walking the entire 6 miles.

But I can't wait to see it restored
smile

Yeah this is an older pic since yesterday was it's first and only drive down that new driveway I put in last summer.

Definitely an old picture. The beard and hair is, shall we say, a bit grayer these days. Good deal on the tractor. Post a photo when it's been restored.

Yeah that was the summer of 2007 wtf

But since the beard is shaved off now I can say it would still look like that .....

If I bought some Just for Men at the store when the wife wasn't looking.

(that subject came up today lol )
