New Wheels
My new wheels (pick it up Thursday):
I know, it's a Buick (LaCrosse CXS) but I'm an old man and I got the option that turns off the blinking turn signal when I forget about it.
Gonna drive in luxury for a few more years then, when I'm in my 70's, I figure to get some sort of small SUV so that I can get in and out of it more easily.

What's funny is that I actually worked for The Scooter Store for 18 months. Their headquarters are in New Braunfels Tx just up the road from San Antonio. Helped them put retail stores in Wal-Marts. That's why I don't need to look at all of those Wal*Mart shoppers emails that get passed around. Seen em in 16 different stated up close and trying NOT to be personal.

You could put that in the trunk of the old Buick Limited (my step-dad had several of them when I was a kid)
Too bad Obama's car company quit making Oldsmobile's
GM tends to screw up .........they quit making the oldest car in the USA
Ransom Olds is rolling over in his REO Cutlass Supreme

Re: New Wheels
My last three cars (since 1993) have been Acuras. Great, great car and very reliable. But, they really screwed up the styling with the latest generation and that turned me off. Also, road noise in any Honda product is an on-going problem, even in the $50,000 Acura RL. I drove the LaCrosse and loved how quiet it was. That and it's styling sold me.

I hear ya, Crav... but you built. Different deal than buying and selling existing home. You have some sweat equity in that log cabin, don't you? Probably got a deal on the lot, too.

Re: New Wheels
We stole the lot
2 acres in Md, at the time was 88,000
Im literally 50 feet into Pa, mine is 1.8 acres with a well I paid 29,000
And yes we have sweat equity into the home, but i did use a log home builder to get us under roof, and electricity and plumber..

Re: New Wheels
I paid $36,000 for the 5 acres on my 27th birthday in 1985
Then another $90,000 and counting on building this house and that is with lots of free help from my brother in 2003.
But I can't imagine ever selling this place though.........hell it would take $5 million cash under the table to get me to sell.
Then I would just drive around with the wife on a never ending vacation until I
