We've found 2 homes we really like down here in Sunny & Hot Florida...But thats OK because both homes have pools..Sitting here in the lobby, watching FOX news and its 46 and raining back home??

Spent yesterday on Cocoa Beach, we could see the Space Shuttle on the launch pad, dam shame they couldnt have fixed their problems with the heating system. Did some surf fishing in the Atlantic, water temps are perfect.

I guess this is it..Keep your fingers crossed, I sell my home quickly, because these homes down here cant stay this cheap!!!

The Ravens play in Jacksonville this year, might be a nice road trip!!

That coin was something else, We visited with my Dads wife yesterday and she is slowly coming around to parting ways with Dads things, that was part of a 12 coin SB I thru SB XII 3oz pure silver set..Plus she found the silver coin I had sent him for SB XXXV..So i have those to get back home..

Nice lookin' place. Florida home prices have dropped an amazing amount in the last few years. Sooner or later they'll start recovering. Have you checked into the cost of hurrican insurance (maybe Kurt offers some of that)? That is always a concern in Florida.

Yes, its 2000 a year, but the taxes on the place are 1200 per year..

Compared to my present situation which is 1000 a year insurance and 6000
property takes.

Looks like taxes were over 4000 on the Deltona property at one time (when it had reached it's max assessment). Could go back up, for sure. Oh, and I notice the photo of the agent for the property. I'm guessing that's the real reason for your interest, John.

Thanks for the thought, Blue. The wind pool ("hurricane Insurance") is a state run thing. Local agents only.

There are only certain companies that write homeowners and the flood is a state/federal thing too... Your insurance will be a major expense, but not enough to overshadow the tax savings.

Its a different ballgame down there. CK don't do Florida insurance.

Get the same results by doing some walking and push-ups! Or any good hard exercise!

I'm loving life these days. Up to 5 miles and upped the PU count to an avg of 250, with a personal best of 305. (in reps of 35-45) Never felt better in my life. The bride may say the same thing...
