I'm thinking I might change my avatar to this...
Oh, BTW, cheapest seats for the Super Bowl are $2236!

I'm not a fan. I would have thought they would have incorporated something a bit more identifiable with Indianapolis... the Monument on the Circle... checkered flags... you get my drift.
Lucas Oil Stadium is ok, but people won't look at that and think Indy. It's just not site specific enough, in my opinion.

I just got back from vegas late last night.......And one of the good things happened to the wife and I yesterday.........
The plane we were supposed to be on had to make an unexpected stop to NYC and had to carry extra fuel(I always thought they fueled up before every flight)so they were looking for volunteers to take a diiferent flight from where we were at(Dallas/FT Worth Texas) to Chicago first.(Our original flight was suppose to take us to Moline Airport 40 minutes from home.
Anyone volunteering were given 350$ in vouchers from AA............
The wife and I much obliged..........So now I have 700$ in free airline to go anywhere our hearts desire.......
Im gonna be doing some heavy searching here soon and Kurt,2Shock my friends, hows about some of your expertise on places to stay and eat.Places to where i don`t have to take a taxi for miles to get somewhere.Places of interest.Whats to site see and so forth and so on........
This has me kind of excited.......Now if I can talk the wife into it......
If theres a casino nearby Im sure I could.....
She went with me to Arizona for the Superbowl down there.but i had a friend that lived 10 minutes away from the stadium and stayed for free..........
never know.......

Barry, we'd love to have you and am happy to offer what I can, but if you're coming to Indy, don't waste the tickets flying here... drive. Its 2-2.5 hrs tops. If you're flyin', don't come here. If you're driving, let me know.

Flyin or drivin would it matter?..........lol
The wife agrees with you "Why fly when we could drive that"?......But its not the question of flyin or drivin........Hell I`m lookin just to burn up the tix.we have one year to do so.
But in reality it would be kinda dumb for the fact the lodging and airfare prices will skyrocket cause of the SB being played there......Everybody is gonna want their palm greased.
I`m just lookin to start weighing our options......
Btw..............Is it 2-2 1/2 hrs from Chicago? Cause I live 1 1/2-2 hrs straight west from Chicago................I also live with-in 15-20 minutes from the Mississppi. It wwll be longer from Sterlng to Indy if your refering from Chicago.I may have to mapquest that.

I don't give a shit... do what you want. But... I was trying to make sure you got the most out of those tix... Seemed to me flying to Indianapolis from Chicago - or 1.5 west of it - wouldn't maximize the deal on them.
So, you looking to come during the SB? Wow... you are nuts... lol.
You do what you want... I just think Baltimore - or something close by it - Chesapeke (sic?) Bay, etc. - would give you more bang for your buck. We've got some interesting stuff, but we don't have the water (like Balt)... the downtown (like Chicago)... or the desert (like AZ)... or VANCOUVER across the border (like Seattle).

700 Dollars in vouchers, I'd go to Ft Myers or Key West, Im sure they state only to be used in the continental USA..If not, you know Im going to say some Island in the Caribbean..
Take in Baltimore in the summertime if you must, the Seafood will be prime, hell take in a game at Oriole Park, you can have any seat in the house for 15.00 as long as that day the O's aint playing the Yanks or Boston..Take in a day on the Chesapeake Bay, its fantastic..You're only a 2hr drive from Baltimore to Ocean City..

Nuts!!!........Sometimes......But to watch my own team would be sweet.
And as I said earlier.......the wife agrees with you and with the SB being there they are all gonna command an extra buck for their services.....

I figured you were gonna come up with something like that.....
There are so many choices cause it doesn`t say it has to be in the US.
I definetly am not gonna rush into this, but my first instinct was Seattle.........Always wanted to go there.
Or Alaska.........But i`m gonna have to do some searching.

As I recall, our "rooftop" friend has no desire for the hot sun and sand. I see where the Seattle and Alaska are coming from... I'd like to see both, too. Like I said, Beary, get the most out of the vouchers that you can.

Depends on what time of year and if you want to just fly to Seattle and then go from there.
I guess the main tourist thing is to have dinner up on the Space Needle.
But this time of year it will be raining so you have to like driving around in the rain.

I have actually never been to D3enny Park but I always hear it mentioned in Seattle.
Yeah you have to have dinner by the windows at the Space Needle and since it should be sunny check the entire Seattle Center where the Needle is.
And Woodland Park Zoo is in the area.
Tourists always go to Pioneer Square too.
Then there is Lake Washington and Green Lake and all the places on the waterfront.
Several parks in the Seattle area too.
We live over on the Olympic Peninsula so you either take the ferry across Puget Sound or the long way around from Tacoma across the Narrows bridge.
Btw I just heard on the news a couple minutes ago that a plane flying from Sea-Tac to Chicago was struck by lightning just before it landed
