Jupiter, wow its the closest its been to the earth since 1962!!! Its chasing the moon from east to west..

Yeah it has been bright all night for a couple months now especially when the Moon was setting before it but it is chasing the Moon again like it has done a couple times lately with a dim view of Uranus close to Jupiter if you look with a scope or binoculars (tiny blue spot)

And this time of year the 5th brightest star in the sky and sort of our new north star (in about 11,000 years wink )

Last time Jupiter was this close was 1951 and the next time is 2022
