Despite being 31, the son did something today he's never done in 25 years of playing baseball. He threw a perfect 7 inning game today. (Only played 7 because it was a double header today) 21 batters faced, 0 hits, 0 walks, 6 Ks.

He's put together a pretty good season. 4-1, 1 perfect game and 2 shutouts, 45 Ks, 1.24 ERA. Batting .400

He plays in a local area 28+ men's wooden bat baseball league. Many former college and minor league players that refuse to say die. Pretty high level of play. I still really enjoy going out and watching them play.

Congrats, son!

hellyes Hell Yeah!

I didn't play much baseball but enough throwing of the ball that now days I can hardly throw anything very far or with any power since the shoulder says no way to that wtf

Yeah I would rather watch him pitch than stand at the plate and risk my life....pitchers are crazy lol

Congrats cheerstoyou

I quit catching him when he was 11-12 years old. We had no catchers equipment and he froze me with a couple back-to-back pitches. I put down the mitt and said, "OK, son, that's it. I'm done catching you pitch." (We kept throwing catch, but I never got down in the position again.) Back then he threw "over the top" but at Butler they changed him to sidearm, down low. That really made things happen. (Much easier on the arm, too!)
