Well the only guy that has been in a hospital more than me is Beldar.......and even an old timer like me can take it and I don't have an NFL big-shot list of high paid doctors.
Yet I am still just like Mike Curtis .....well a couple hours a day anyway
Just went out and sawed down an alder tree with a hand saw......and this is not a tree saw either.
Then I cut off the branches and picked up the heavy end of the tree and walked it across the creek to save for my spring BBQ pit
This is a smaller tree.....about 400lbs but I did it by myself so I think Peyton can handle that.
I have 4 more to cut down and they are BIG alders about 2ft across.
Of course I have several concrete projects planned for the spring and summer too.
Btw why didn't you use this one Kurt?

Re: The Manning Report
A HAND SAW???? what the hell is that
Since you are in a cutting mood, I have 5 to take down by the time they sprout leaves or I'll lose my Hi-Def signal, 3 Ash, 1 poplar and 1 cherry oak, you can help get the heating supply ready for moi. And just for you, I will sharpen the blades on the 20" Stihl Farm Boss.

Re: The Manning Report
Yeah I'll stop by and saw them down on my way to the store Cravn
I used my cheap-o carpenter saw the other day to cut that smaller alder down just so I didn't have to walk all over the property looking for the chainsaw and then the gas and some oil to mix with the gas.....and then probably the tools for the saw in case the chain jumps off again.
My old poulan saw still starts right up but I have used it every year since I got it in 1980 so it is kind of old like.......um.....we are getting
Hey btw......the magnolia trees are blooming here and the daffy's and tulips are up and about to bloom.
Are you all still making snowmen back there???

Re: The Manning Report
50-55 and sunny this weekend here in Indy.
A sloppy and muddy mess, but it sure looks good seeing brown grass instead of white snow!

Re: The Manning Report
brown grass!
I have had my mower out twice already but haven't mowed the green yet Kurt.
But I already need to mow out in front of the house.
Not to mention every couple steps I take I have weeds to pull here
I either need to win Streak for Ca$h or have at least that much fall out of the sky so I can pay somebody to do some of the yard work here.
AND I spoke too soon about my old poulan chainsaw......that BITCH almost killed me pulling the fuckin' rope and it almost started twice which made me keep pulling the rope.
That is a fuckin' workout.......or I just don't feel good today.
Out of breath after a half hour and worked up a sweat and feel like barfin' so I went and took a couple pills.
Nice and sunny so I hate to just sit on the couch watching the Golf channel
But I am home alone today so as soon as I feel ok I will be out attacking that big alder with my damn cheap-o carpenter saw like an Axe Man from the 1800's
