SO I decided to get off my lazy ass.
And turn this house into a showcase home...
So I have 4 bulkheads to build, ceilings to antique, hardwood to lay, and the basement is going to be a masterpiece when it is done. LOL wish me luck, it's going to be expensive.

Re: SO I decided to get off my lazy ass.
Good luck Shockster............
But I dare you to out do my basement bar.
I just tore down a wall that seperated or big laundry room to make way for a new poker room here at none other than "34s Sports bar and casino.
My walls have been framed up and have been paneled with cedar car siding type(the tongue and groove).Wanted to go with oak,but thaaaats way too much for what I`m doing.
I can go with Cedar at half the cost. And got a lot to do.
Taking down the old wainscotting and putting up cedar wainscotting all around the basement.(All paneling has been stained with Golden Pecan)
Sold my bar and building a nice L-shape with granite countertop.
Looking for a Budweiser Clydesdale pool table light to go over one of my poker tables.(these are not bad priced, but are in very high demand as Ebay has shown).lol
Also looking for a nice old vintage hamms motion light.(Into which I`ve been out bid a few times now).lol
Lots of work to do here, but when all said and done,it`ll be awsome!
And I will be posting pics when done...........And of course I`ll be waitng for yours too.

Re: SO I decided to get off my lazy ass.
Damn I want a pool table at home
Sound like it is that time of year to work on our sports/bar @ home
Mine is upstairs but I am finally going to work on the other half that is known by the county as my "attic".....so they don't get to inspect it.
I am sawing off each 2x4 one at a time and making 6ft 2 side walls in that half of the room instead of the damn /\ teepee shaped room that a 6ft4 guy can only walk down the middle
It makes the room 6 feet wider so it will be 14 X 20 and an 8ft ceiling.
I have to remove a 4 sheets of 12ft sheetrock that are already in there so I can insulate and replace it with plywood (I tend to put dents in sheetrock) and then decide on the finish work.
I have had a new roll of blue Colts colored carpet up here behind the leather sofa for 7 years waiting to go in there
Of course I won't pay anyone to do it so it doesn't cost much and takes forever to do

Well back in my HS days I used to play pool for money and usually won.
Now I haven't played in years but I know you can bet as much money as you can put on the table
Slot machines are a casino con game.
I have a local casino and the only time they ever get money from me is when I have lunch or dinner there

LOL Are you sure you want to dare me? I built the horseshoe shaped bar in the QB club at Lucas Oil?!?!?!?! I don't really have the room for a bar, but maybe a nice LQ cabinet and a library/study for me..

Re: SO I decided to get off my lazy ass.
Bar is a must shocker, I was also going to do a Horshoe Bar, and on the top have Football Cards of the Baltimore Colts/Ravens buried in acrylic..But since I have to go pump out bathroom, we are going to go full bath, so that'll wipe out some room.
I cant wait to start ours..I even have the pellet stove ready to go!!
