The Mrs was there getting me a present, I want a CD Recorder, I go to bed early and the best shows are on from 9-11pm..Well the salesman told her to call Direct Tv, they offer Tivo..Well she did, and damn if they didnt install it on Saturday afternoon, no cahrge for the box or installation!!!!

When the Direct dude was installing I threw out my, I cant get HD caus the HD satellite is nowhere near the regular satellite pitch..And I'll be god damned if he didnt tell they are now TOGETHER!!! He couldnt do the install Saturday caus he didnt have a HD reciever with him, So I called them back after he left..And this Saturday, they are coming out to install HD on the big screen!!!

So WOW Christmas came 2 weeks early at the house..

Im aware of the "contract" the customer service bimbo stated it, I know 10 times..Its a 2 year contract..So that'll be a few months after I retire, that'll give us time to put the pieces together on wether or not we are making that perma-move to Fla.

This what we are getting......Tivo for upstairs and adding a 3rd big screen here at 34s Sports casino and I need HD.they were charging us 199$ for the tivo box and another 99 (I think,maybe a little more)for another HD box......She asked them if they could give us a deal cause we`ve been outstanding customers for 10 yrs now..........The best they`d do is give us a 30% dicount!!

My install and reciever was FREE..They tell me Im a loyal customer since 2004..I didnt tell them, or didnt have enough beer in me yet to tell them I hacked their signal for 5 years and my bill was nothing per month) If there were fees involved, trust me I would be bypassing all this new modern stuff, but hell, I cant turn down free install and free box upgrade.

And let me tell ya, I LOVE the Tivo stuff, got to watch my CSI Miami a day later at my time while FF thru all the commercials..

Heres the best part, but the new Tivo box that was installed, they say its mine and can move it to any other room I want, at NO CHARGE!!

But heres my dilema, all the other rooms are within the logs and if the possbility is there that they have to drill thru the logs for the other wire, we dont want it..We lucked out Saturday, he was able to squeeze the coax thru the existing hole that was there.

I miss DirecTV.

Probably not. Been there, done that and the economy won't accomodate another $5000 weekend. I'll buy the tickets if I get them in the lottery, then sell them to pay the season ticket renewal that arrives in late Feb./early Mar. (That said... if it happens, the mind tends to cave-in and toss logical thinking out with the bathwater....)

We plan to travel that time of year, but I'm thinking Keys, Caribbean, etc. Need to get underwater. Monkey's on the back. Jonesing bad.

We're trying to get more seats again this year. Need 2 more to accomodate all the kids, spouses, sisters, wife, etc. 6 now... need to bump that up to 8.

Yep.....5 grand, I can believe it.

The idea to to get OUT of debt, not go deeper in. Those boys with the horseshoe on the helmet can afford 5k, but we can't!!
