If you can afford that car (when its available) you wouldn't have to worry about the cost of gas. I think I recall it being in the $100K range.

I'm more for developing a corn/soy based fuel... and help the Indiana economy and farmers everywhere at the same time. Screw that black gold and the part of the world it primarily comes from!

With a name like that... and the riches of our treasurer... I'm thinking the NW will be seeing one for sure!

I'll just stick with a gas guzzling Hemi Ram sunny

345 hp stock, but with the performance chip and exhust system, it'll be at least 400 (I don't even want to think about what the gas mileage will be)

Well I wouldn't mind that Tesla car Mighty!

Except that $95,000 part of course.

If one of you just buy me that then I will be able to buy all the gas I ever need since I will never sell my 500hp 455 Cutlass or the Jag with the built 350 GM or my old golden 1976 Power Wagon with the gas guzzelin' 750 holley 4 barrel king

I do need to replace that damn holley with a new smaller version since it is a 318 with the high-rise golden intake!

The damn carbs cost close to $500 these days bluehoo

I always wanted a hemi in the 4X4 and almost got the 426 hemi way back and they were $20,000 so I bet they are even more now.....plus installation.

Yeah, at $95,000 there will never be a Tesla in my garage or driveway anytime soon... But I was just marveling that the technology has progressed as much as it has.. They needed a sexy looking car to get interest in it I think.. The prices will come down for the technology as it does with everything else.. One day I might be able to just come home and plug my trusty old pick-up into the outlet... LOL

And yeah Kurt I'm all for the Ethanol and bio-diesel research too....Thery are building one of the biggest refineries for them right there in good Old Cloverdale Indiana as we speak...

As long as the oil companies don't go out and start buying up all the farms to compensate for future earnings..

A moratorium (sp?) on foreign ownership of American soil would be a good start... too late to say NO ownership... but putting an end from today forward would get my vote. chicken_dance

I can agree with that Kurt, some of our politicians are getting greased too much by foreign investors for that too happen... they'll sell us all down the river before they would invest in America and American companies these days.

Another thing I'd like to see is for us to start building the garbage converting powerplants.... imagine how that would save oil usage for us...I guess that makes too much sense though seeing as how we produce more garbage than any culture in history.

I'd so LOVE to see this country be self-supporting again.
