Knockout Pool Empty Knockout Pool

Post  Guest 9/7/2009, 5:48 am

I'm in a knockout pool for the first time this year.

Pick a team to win each week - straight up. Can't use that team again for the balance of the season.

If you handicapping geniuses have thoughts as we progress thru the season, I'll be listening, er... reading. I'm still figuring out if there's a strategy... other than picking the winners only, of course.

I never have done just one a week but I have picked every single game straight-up since 1972 smile

Last couple years just to have a pick contest vs Magic Jr.

Did that with Seabird for 17 years in a row once too.

What? You don't think the Ravens are likely to win another game? I understand Kurt's Cincy pick now since you can only pick a team one time for the entire season. Use the Ravens pick much later on if possible. But, you do have to somehow make sure you're around to pick them.

I'm in a survivor pool as well. $2340 dollars (243 players at $10 each) but the only rule is that you cannot pick the same team two weeks in a row. Had New Orleans and New England this week.

I have PIT and a BYE (my pool allows for one BYE to be used anytime during the season). Still 145 people left (no one went out last week).

Drew took Philly, he called me and I gave him the little tid-bit of, Philly is 10-0 (now 11-0) when coming off the bye.
