Rest in Peace UPS driver
I met him when he first started delivering stuff to me back in 1979 (I had a dream the other night about seeing him driving his truck around and just found this out today)
Glenn Allen Hoffman was born July 18, 1954, in Fort Frances, Ontario, to Ivor Glenn Hoffman and Anne Marie Zucchiatti.
Glenn passed on June 19, 2009, at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle.
He moved with his family to Sequim in 1969 and graduated from Sequim High School in 1972.
After graduation, he served in the United States Air Force from 1973-1977.
In 1975, Glenn married Barbara Baker, and together they had two sons, Jason and Nathan.
He worked for UPS for 30 years before retiring in 2006.
In 1989, Glenn was married to Gwyn Campbell with son, Ryan, and daughter, Mary-Beth.
For the past 11 years Glenn made his residence in Chimacum with his other half, Linnette Rice.
Glenn's passions were fishing, crabbing, entertaining family and friends and spending time with his grandchildren.
He had an enormous heart, a wonderful sense of humor, and a great outlook on life!
Glenn will be greatly missed. His absence is a great loss to everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his other half, Linnette Rice of Chimacum; his brother, Bill Hoffman of Sequim; his two sons, Jason and Nathan Hoffman of Sequim. Ronnie, Angela, Natalie, Olivia and Lindsey Ellingford of Port Hadlock; Darren Rice, Kevin, Denna and Tyler Rice of Sequim; stepson Ryan Hoffman and stepdaughter Mary-Beth Breer.
A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor at the Elks, 555 Otto St. in Port Townsend, on Saturday, June 27, 2009, at 2 p.m. Refreshments will be provided by The Ladies of Elks.
In memory of Glenn, donations can be sent to the Big Blue Boosters of Chimacum, P.O. Box 397, Chimacum, WA 98325, or East Jefferson Little League, P.O. Box 403, Port Hadlock, WA 98339.
