Reasons not to put a hardwood floor in the bathroom..

The biggest one I can think of is what I'm going through right now....

If you spring a leak in the wax ring of the toilet you don't find out about it until it's too late..... so I''ve spent the morning tearing out the formerly high dollar hard wood and hoping and praying that I don't have to replace the damn subfloor as well.... thank god I have a basement and noticed the water leak in relatively easy time so I might be able to save the subfloor before it gets too out of hand. When my dad owned this house I told him hardwood in the bathroom wasn't a good idea.... so now I'm going to pay for that mistake....

A gallon of bleach to fight any mold that might have started, a sheet of 1/4 luan, some PL 400 and going to look at some of the nice thick new VINYL tiles that can be grouted so it looks just like the high dollar designer tiles... Oh and a REAL wax ring from a commercial plumbing supply house... not some cheap arse junk Chinese Piece of Fucking Shit that will FAIL....american made with pride and quality. I HATE Menards, Home Depot, Lowes and all the other fucking junk sellers in the world...

If you can't sell a fucking quality product then just your fucking doors and go straight to HELL HELL HELLL

I'm in the process of pulling up ALL the carpet in my house right now and going to throw down tile and laminate most likely all the way through..... With the dobe... (soon to be plural as I've got a puppy reserved from the AKC world champion Cambria's Victoria;s Secret that was bred and raised right here in good old Indiana!! can't wait) Well lets just say that carpet and dogs don't go well together...

The only good thing about the economy for me right now, is I've been able to plan and work on the homestead to try and make it a truly nice home... Even though my savings are taking a hell of a beating over it.

But then again when things rebound in the housing market, I'll make out like a fucking bandit when people walk in and see all the professional hand-made woodwork and built-ins I've been working on. When it's done there will be pictures posted... I'm thinking late summer, early fall I should have things just the way I want them here... (and I am EXTREMELY picky about things as it's my trade)
