Very sorry it's taken so long folks.... It's been one thing after another here...(the latest was the wax ring in the upstairs bathroom had a leak...so the hardwood floor was completely ruined.. REAL old growth hardwood too... big loss for me.)

Still working on this place to get it ready to sell eventually... (I didn't overpay for this place so the bubble won't hurt me as bad)

and then take the profit from this one and build another at the lake....

Cravn I found a local guy that said he can supply and stack the logs if I want for a cape cod style log home for right at 35K..... is that a good deal on the log homes?

Make sure those logs are dried, if not you're looking at 3-6" of settlement..Thats hell on windows doors and cabinets.

Also I paid, 45,000 for 3000sq ft..and all windows, doors, and roofing material (ply wood, shingles)

Yeah, the roof, dormers etc are all included in that price as well. I'll have to check on the logs themselves though, I'm sure they would be dried already... but you never know... thanks for the heads up on that one.

Also, any splits in the logs, make sure they are on the bottom half of the rounded side (exterior). If its on the upper half, water can get in there and do damage, on the bottom half, well you know, water can't run up hill.
