Re: Final UNOFFICIAL Standings
WOW!!! It pays to pick the SB champ before the season starts. That 3 points came in handy. Way to go Kobes. Good job as well Cravn!
Now I can cry about coming in third and losing out on the Rudy award just like Magic cried all last year. LOL
At least you can can the play off dunce cap off my head based on the last two years

She picked Pittsburgh to win the Superbowl at the beginning of the year which gave Kobes another 3 points ... 19 in all
Blue, thanks for running the spread sheet and calculating the results so fast.

Re: Final UNOFFICIAL Standings
Thanks. My pleasure.
All players: Please check your picks against what I have recorded as well as your total points and let me know if I've screwed up anywhere.
Also, if you note any discrepancies with what I show as the results (I used the box score info from the ESPN web site for some of them), let me know.

We had determined Magic was wrong. Blue and others had received the points before without picking the two that made it. If you read the rules it doesn't say anything about having to pick the two contestants to qualify for the 3 points for picking the SB Champ. It simply states that if you pick the SB champ you get 3 points.

Mighty "clarified" this awhile back. You get 2 points if you pick the two teams. You get 3 points if you pick the winning team. So you can get 0, 2, 3, or 5 points based on super bowl picks and results.

I agree it should have been made a little more clear when the discussion came up. You might want to go back to the thread it was discussed. I'm not sure Mighty said anything official after Magic said no and Blue said yes. Actually Magic saying no was the only reason anyone even thought not to honor the 3 points. I was always under the assumption you simple got the 3 points if you picked the Superbowl winner. Why don't you look at the official rules and see if you see it states anything otherwise Cravn. Nothing wrong with taking it to the Cadre for their official explanation.
Damn Johnny Wad "Holmes" ... If Ben Ben had won I would be the won complaining about Kobes getting the 3 points Actually I think I'm on record saying I thought she deserved it prior to the Superbowl

Re: Final UNOFFICIAL Standings
#Super Bowl Participants = 2 points. The two teams you selected in the preseason.
#Super Bowl Winner = 3 points. The team you selected in the preseason.
I posted the rules for you buddy. Sorry, doesn't say anything about having to pick both participants.
Can I call you Rudy now

Re: Final UNOFFICIAL Standings
DAMN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just woke up.
I just looked at the box score at ESPN.
I just saw that the Steelers somehow scored a TD on some kind of return (int or fumble), with no time left at the end of the 1st half........IS THAT REALLY THE CASE???
It is THAT bullshit score that cost ME the championship!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Final UNOFFICIAL Standings
Cravn, I'm sorry bro......each of those preseason picks are separate. You score 2 points if you correctly pick both SB teams, and 3 points if you correctly pick the outright SB Champ.
Those two preseason picks have always been separate, ever since our first year. As a matter of fact, Blue was the first player to win the BC Championship because he hit his preseason pick. Now Kobe has done it.
But you still get the Rudy and 100 Chips!! That will buy SOME oil, right?
