Draft day... First round
I know it's still early..... But any thoughts on our 1st round pick??
I said it a couple of weeks ago and I still believe we draft a wideout with our first pick. I think the DT's will be picked through and we'll go with the best available athlete out there. We all know Marvin will probably be gone and I think there's a possiblity that Pearcy Harvin could still be there with our pick. If he's not there then maybe we look at Juaquin Iglesias, WR, Oklahoma or Brian Robiskie, WR, OhioState in the second or third rounds.
Peria Jerry, DT, Ole Miss and B.J. Raji, DT, Boston College are both falling according to Mel Kipers Big Board. Raji would be the better of the two, but he's not the brightest kid and has had problems on the field in the past by getting kicked out of a couple of games. Upsides are that he finds the ball well. Something that we have needed for a long time. Jerry has had injuries with his foot in the past. So that's a red flag for me. Could see him drop to the second round.
I also like Donald Brown, RB, Connecticut in a later round. If he's still there for the third round I would take a look at him as well. I'm just not sold on Addai. I know the O-Line had issues this last season, but I just didn't see anything from him this year.

Cravn...... If we had a DL, we wouldn't have to worry about Sanders coming up and always have to stop the run for us. I think that's a big part of why he's always hurt. If we can fix our DL problem then we can let him play as a DB and NOT a Defensive Lineman

Re: Draft day... First round
Yes, I do..Heyward-Bey will more than likely be gone by round 2..
Idealy, when you all release Marvin, maybe he could school Clayton and our draft pick..

Re: Draft day... First round
Jerry in the first round and Ricky-Jean francois in the 2nd round....
they are both perfect for the cover 2 Maybe Francois more so than Jerry...
I'm extremely high on the guy because he is 6-3 290 and also runs a 4.7-4.8 40..... think of a more athletic version of Leon Lett... extremely explosive first step and a beast to handle.... he should fall close to us in the 2nd round..... and he is going to be a monster in the NFL....
We really need to go 1-2 with DT's this year, the cupboard is bare at that position right now, and it's really the biggest problem area on the team... the Oline will be fine next season... Lilja will be back healthy again and Saturday will have a whole offseason to get better and Pollack will be over his growing pains......

Re: Draft day... First round
I heard the Vikings are going to trade every pick they have in the next 10 drafts for the top 10 picks in this draft. They then want to pick 10 USC players so LA chooses them as the team to play in their new stadium

Donald Brown didn't surprise me in the least bit. I thought that if Harvin was gone at our pick we would go with a RB.

What the fuck.....
You`d think when someone hands you a million dollars(Cutler),you`d invest it in something (widereciever)rather than throw it in a paper sack and put it in a closet......
But in other good news.........
The Vikes go and draft Harin......lmao
Way too sign overrated Berrian last year and draft a wr when the other real need was a qb.
Hey atleast you get a decent ot in Loadholt.
Bears will rule the NFC North next year.......
