Actually they got it down to 3,100 by 3:00 pm yesterday and were given a 24 hour extension. That means they almost sold 5,000 Friday. I think if they can get it under 1K by 2:00 pm today the local Fox network will pick up the rest.
The more important issue is this does not bode well for the Vikings remaining in Minnesota after their lease runs out in 2011. I predict they will be the LA Vikings and play in the Rose Bowl in 2012 and until some one will pony up for a new stadium. Then again, maybe in these tough economic times they need to just stick it out in Minnesota until someone is willing to build them a new stadium first. I think all major sports franchises are going to go through some tough times in the next 2 to 3 years.
