My damn pc has taken a shit on me!!!! I believe it's the power supply that has quit working. Anyone have any idea on if this is something that is easily fixed?? pissed

I'd look to others for the straight dope, but that happened to an old PC of mine several years ago... they said no-can-fix.

Hope that's not the case for you... MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

If it is the power supply it is easy to fix.

Just buy a new one and take the old one out.....it's real easy!

I have done in several times (on this one in fact)

Go to Tigerdirect.com and they have lots of nice ones.

Just upgrade to a better one like a 700 watt

I got the Ultra X2 Extreme.

Comes with a bunch of updated wire harness (it gives you extras too)

Yeah but you know how this is even early for me getting outta bed.......but I came up here first smile

My damn pellet stove has the house warm so it turned off and now we are getting north wind and sunshine and it is blowing a nasty smoke smell back into the house and it fuckin' woke me up Rolling Eyes

My pc's are a room full of spoiled brats so I check em at 4am when I go to bed and first thing when I get up.

They all run 24/7 but I turn the monitors off to save the juice bill.

Am I the only one here running dual processor machines btw?

I am tempted to get a quad core next month (the best birthday presents are ones you buy yourself)
