I think I have another 2 new members that want to join us in week 3.

He just emailed me and he has been talking about this the last 2 years.

It is a friend of mine since about 1980 and his Son.

He is a referee for the semi-pro football league here (so is his oldest son) and he has been a long time referee for the City League basketball here on the Peninsula.

He lives and has grown up in the same town as the former NBA ref Bernie Fryer who is now the vice president of the NBA officials.

I sent him the info and should hear from him today.

I have known that guy since him and I were about 22 years old and him and his first wife were staying at my house (with my original babies momma) the night that Mt St. Helens erupted and it made my house move like the concrete was rolling!

That was a few years before my son was born and his first who is now 30 years old.......so I guess it has been a while

Hmmmmm......volcanoes.

I wonder how you would pose a question about volcanoes......hmmmm

Ya see, somebody may ask you, "Have you ever been in an earthquake?". But that doesn't fly when it comes to volcanoes. How are you supposed to ask somebody about volcanoes?
Maybe like this:
"Have you ever been in a volcanic eruption?".
Or perhaps make a statement,
"The eruption 30 years ago was so powerful it made my house rock. I'll always remember how that felt".
Or maybe,
"The eruption I experienced 30 years ago with my wife darkened the sky and shook the earth, spewing hot liquid straight into the air with energy and fire. It's an experience my wife and I will never forget!!!".

Well I was asleep and didn't even feel a thing since I had a waterbed back then........and we live so far away from Mt St Helens that we couldn't see anything.

We had to watch the local news to even know what happened.

But the friends that stayed at my place that night didn't have a waterbed to sleep on so they could feel the concrete floor roll

And the ash went east so it had to circle the Earth before it could get here........and I never saw any until I drove to LA in 1984 and stopped at a store off the hiway and bought this tiny lil bag of volcano ash ........it is probably still here in a box some where
