UFO's....Jaywalking...and The Next Big Bang

Funny the things I watch on tv since my first satellite dish.

Tonight I see ABC has a 90 minute program about UFO's and for some reason I always watch these but usually on a science channel or the History Channel.

But as usual it is the same things I have heard before and the same pictures and same everything.......so I almost fell asleep.

So it was time to catch a few minutes of comedy so I watch Leno do his stand-up and then right after that "Jaywalking" where he goes out on the streets in the LA-Hollywood area asking people easy questions to see if they are all dumb as a stump.

As usual they are........one question was asking them where Alaska is and he even holds up a map of all 50 States (no not 57 States Barak)

One guy points at Hawaii.......and then his son that was about 10 years old comes right up and points at Alaska.

The other guesses were even more bizarre......a chick points at the area of Maryland and the "New England" States and Leno teases her and says she is right so then she acts like she is proud of her fantastic intelligence

Then it is midnight so I scroll around and see on the History Channel they have a new show called "The Next Big Bang"

Of course I had to watch that since it is about CERN and the Large Hadron Collider which I have been helping them work on for the last 4 years.

And it is just starting the test runs on this worlds largest particle accelerator (atom smasher)

And the other 2 projects running at CERN

Several physicists from CERN and FermiLab.

Talking about how it works and what they are looking for.

(dark matter,dimensions,and the Higgs Boson also known as the "God Particle" )

Now this was something actually worth watching a few times

Even if you have no idea wtf they are talking about they do it in a way that explains things........and just for the fun of it let you know were this thing called the "world wide web" came from and who started this and why (and no Al Gore was not mentioned)

I haven't found a copy of the program yet but it will be on the History Channel again a few times so check it out just so you see what this is about and how long it took to get just to the point of running tests (about 25 years now)

Just think, Magic........those morons will be VOTING this November.

I listen to AM radio each night while working, so I'm always listening for any collider updates.

Yeah I wish CERN would give the wife and I a free trip over to the Switzerland side of the LHC.......then once underground take the drive around the loop through France
