Interesting. Happy birthday to my son, Noel, on the same day.

Happy Birthday to Michelle and Noel (wish he was still here with the BC btw)

September 11th has had many things happen over the years even before 2001.

The wife and I watched it all live and unedited on the big dish since it was on the air minutes after the first plane hit the tower.

She woke me up and we started watching what those muslim bastards were doing.

And most people don't know or won't admit but those muslims were snooping around every where the few days before that and POOF they were all gone on the 12th and these are the ones we saw all over downtown Seattle at the biggest hospital in the NW.

She was driving us back and forth and under my seat was the Desert Eagle I bought just over a year before that day.

But anyway......it has nothing to do with your birthdays and even though you will always remember that.......you also find out as years go by that the best presents you get are ones you pick out and buy for yourself smile

I remember on a september 11th back in 1987 when Peter Tosh was killed in his own house by a guy he had been paying to do his yard work in Jamaica.

And of course Johnny Unitas will live forever.

Btw it is nice and sunny here and I even had fun going to my dentist and looking out at Dungeness Bay all the way down to the John Wayne Marina.

sunny

Had to buy some ready mix on the way home so I can have some fun as the King of Concrete! king

You ever finish that front gate, Magic? As I recall, you had some more work to do before the fine, upstanding citizen across the street started his antics...

You know (and I don't mean to sound maudlin) September 11 was a bit of a blur for me. It was a national tragedy, for sure and I ache for those who were lost and those who lost them. But, for me, that was the time that Nancy had just gone through major surgery and was undergoing some very intense chemotherapy and we, quite frankly, were living day-to-day in a totally different world. What was going on "outside" my house was not something we really noticed or felt too strongly about during those times. We just wanted to survive the next day or week. It probably sounds terrible to say that but that's the way it was for me. Every year, when September 11 comes around, people recall what they were doing that day and how it made them feel. For me, the memories are quite different from most people's memories, I'd guess.

In any event, this nation will never forget nor should it.

Still haven't got that project finished since the wife has me working on another one right now

Here is a sort of before and after of this one.

That is our grandaughter who just turned 5.

I had to move the stairway around to that end of the tower so the tractor can be parked out of the winter (sort of)

I made the new door yesterday too but have to do the finish part and am making a concrete slab under the stairway.

Believe it or not I think about your wife too Blue.

Remember the picture of flowers I sent her with sunflowers?

Well in that very spot outside my back door where I have a flower garden just ONE sunflower popped up a couple weeks ago and is starting to bud so if the weather stays nice it will have a nice sunflower.

And I remember that every time I walk out the door and look over at those flowers.

Good stuff, Magic. I do remember the sun flower photo and showing it to her. Thanks for that memory.
