Yeah I have had all of those Marley videos since the early 1980's when I recorded them off the big satellite dish.

Mikey Dread had a channel called CSN for about 2 years.....I have 2 of his videos too.

Lots of rare ones stashed away too mon!

Yeah one of my favorite parts about building my 1st satellite dish in the winter of 82-83 was I found this music channel called "Reggae Around the World" and it was run by the Rootsman Earl Chin who also had the Jamaican/NYC tv show called "Rockers TV"

Him and I got to be good friends and he was the last guy to inteview Bob Marley just a couple months before he died.

He knew Marley and all the rest since they were on his TV show back in the 1970's.

I used to bs with the Rootsman every night on his 800 number and he would play an hour of tunes I picked out (I saved cassette copies of that)

We would bs about sports all the time since he was living in NYC at the time and was a Mets,Giants,and Knicks fan!

That was in 1986.......knew him before I met Mrs.Magic in fact.

Yeah I have that interview already on vhs and all those pics too.

The old ones with no dread locks with his two friends from when they were kids.......Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer.

I met Peter Tosh in Seattle and he died soon after I met Earl Chin and Tosh had just won the music award for his album.......which I also have.

Hell yeah it's Funkadelic for sure!

I remember seeing that style on the late night network tv shows then.......must admit I was driving my Mom nuts playing Rush music after I saw them on TV but after I got out of HS I got hooked on reggae music for life.......and lucky to become friends with the Rootsman and see many of the legends.

I hope Gregory Isaacs make another trip to Seattle since the wife loves his music........women always get hooked on Gregory Isaacs.

Stop tempting me with the drums btw.......I used to play and a friend is a drummer still and tries talking me into buying a kit again.

Mrs.Magic wouldn't like that in the house

If we ever get back to Baltimore, I'll take you to meet Dennis Chambers, he plays at local Bars on Sat & Sun nights, to escape the lime light, and hes big time into Jazz, to keep lowkey. He's a hell of a guy, hell me and the Mrs went to see him in Ocean City, just to hear him play.
