Sunday was the open house for season ticketholders and you know CK was right there from the start.

I searched for my Walk of Fame brick (and yours too, Magic) but didn't find either. Just today I received the letter telling me where to find it. Magic, tell me where yours is and I'll get a picture for you.

As you enter the main entrance (North side facing the downtown skyline) you immediately know who put their name on the palace. For motorheads its a paradise! You've got two "rail" dragsters popping wheelies forming an inverted V as you enter. Beyond that is a horseshoe shaped stage with a suspended Colts horseshoe above. Live music playing. Racing boats, motorcycles, NASCAR car, Indy car, etc. Its all there. Looks somewhat like a racing shrine...

When the big window opened... OMG! Awesome! Then the roof opened (the opening is 5 acres) and what an incredible sight to have both the roof and window open!

You guys coming to town are in for a major treat!

Oh, I almost forgot... Forrest Lucas was in the entryway and I got him and Mrs. Lucas to sign all 6 of my tickets for the open house. Way cool for posterity...

\Magic, send me the info on your brick's location...

Damn wish I could have been there to see that too Kurt!

If I could just figure out how to put my place on a UPS truck and move it to Indy smile

How do I find out where my brick would be Kurt????

All I know is my copy brick is sitting on top of this pc tower!

Is there thousands of them there?

I received a letter from the brick people telling me where the brick was located... you were supposed to get a letter. I know you pick up your mail sporadically, so perhaps its there waiting... I received my letter yesterday - from Idaho. I would think yours would have arrived faster than mine... wink

There are quite a few, but I don't know... maybe 5-6 thousand? We're a pretty select bunch, you know! But hey, you'll see them all... RIGHT?

No I haven't got a letter about the brick other than what they gave me when the copy brick showed up here and that was way before they installed them at the stadium.

I want to be at that game but I don't think it is going to happen bluehoo

Not sure how I made it back to Indy last time.

Just driving to the Sea-Tac airport from the Olympic Peninsula is a trip.

And all the rest of the plans it takes to make it all work.......and the Mrs. doesn't sound like she will do that stuff again bluehoo

Believe me I think about this every day bluehoo

She is a very dazzling beauty though isn't she?

Tell me did you go and get a drink at the bar of 2shock in the QB club?

There are various good luck charms stratigically placed all through the building everywhere that I worked.... there are horsehoes in a couple of walls, lucky rabbits feet, lucky #7's..... there are also picks of the lombardi trophy and the SB rings hidden as well.....

I gave the girl all the mojo that I had to counter Cravn's curse.

Is anything safe to drink out of Lucas Oil? I heard you all had some serious plumbing issues.

It wasn't the plumbing it was the roof drains... a few of them failed during a storm that dumped 10 inches of rain................ The story I heard was that they were installed wrong and the foreman let it go......

But Frank Irish the company that had the contract had already gone bankrupt..... so the insurance had to foot the bill and the construction managers (Hunt Corp) had to eat the cost themselves...... it was a bloody mess from what I was told..... everything in that area was finished and all of it had to be ripped out, the drains fixed and then everything else replaced..... and it was all T&M (Time and material) VERY expensive fix.
