Indiana to Williamsport

Team Indiana won their regional and is on their way to Williamsport for the Little League World Series!
They've got a stud SS/Pitcher (don't they all?) that will hopefully be up to the challenge... CONGRATS!

I went out Wednesday evening for my annual ritual and checked out a game with my pal Carl. He's a former Boston Globe sportswriter that moved to Indy about 16-17 years ago. He's a huge RedSox fan. We get together once a year at the LL fields where the Great Lakes and Central Regions come together for their respective tourneys to determine who goes to the LLWS. State champs from Iowa, Minnesota, IL, OH, IN, KY, MI, Dakotas (combined), KS, MO... and others I'm sure I've forgotten, come to play about 3 miles from my house. Always a good time and fun to see the kids and families having a great time.

Congrats, AI love the LL word series, my grandson and I were watching it Saturday..BTW tell tyhe kids from Indy to get a freeking haircut.

You are so lucky it rained, this Maryland team is great the first 5 are batting .500 or better.We had no rain is Southern Pa, but the Md, Ind game was postponed.

They're ALL good at this point, Crav... besides, its all about the pitching at this level. All these kids can hit... but throw a stud at 'em and THAT'S what wins games at this level.

Jeffersonville, IN has a stud on the mound.

In a modern day rarity, a team from Maryland beat an Indiana team.

The Maryland Little League baseball team beat the Jeffersonville, IN team at the Little league World Series, 3-2.
Despite the IN pitcher throwing a no hitter, Maryland score the winning runs in the fifth inning with a hit batter and a walk, prior to past balls allowing the winning runs to score.

Everyone agreed, it will be the last win a Maryland-based team will have over an Indiana-based team for years to come...
