Anyone else here get into Return To Forever?

Greatest (?) jazz/fusion/rock band of the 70's.

They're back together for a tour... June 22 in Indy! I will be there.

Stanley Clark on bass, Al DiMiola on guitar, Chick Corea on the keyboards... sweet.

In the 70's those were my choice too, but early 80's brought Return To Forever, Spiro Gyra, and others into the picture too.

Saw Spiro Gyra live once at the Indiana Roof and it was the most amazing concert I've been to. Not as mainstream as the rockers of the time, but incredible musicians.

Youtube them... see if they get it done for you.

I don't know about any of those guys, but I did see the Osmond Family Singers skip and whistle their way across the stage in Oakland back in the early 70s.

Of course, 10 years after that I was drunk and stoned at Motley Crue, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Quiet Riot, Scorpions, Wasp, Ozzy, Bon Jovi, Ratt and White Snake concerts....not to mention a host of club acts and street gigs.

Actually, Ozzy called off his Sacramento gig at the last second, pissed us off. But he was in a funk, walking around the hotel holding a gun to his head threatening to blow his brains out. The rumor was he was planning on wearing a small explosive vest, and then blow himself up on stage. So his wife called the show off and Ozzy never came back to town.

That sucked sucks
