located in walking distance of a major resevoir....

I'm buying it..... Since I've been off I've had alot of time to sit back and reflect on just how really unhappy I am with the city growing up around me more and more everyday..... I don't like it, the crime, the dumb shit going on everyday.... I just don't see how i can take it here anymore.... You can't even fart without somebody complaining about it....

I was cleaning a shotgun on the porch the other day and some moron actually called the cops.... You city people are some very, very strange creatures...(it was on my BACK porch....not even anywhere anybody would be bothered) So the cops show up we talk about turkey hunting (I got a nice Tom this spring) and they leave.... I'm disgusted...

I've had enough, and I am moving back to the free american zone...in the country....and paying CASH.

I've got a plan for a 1 bedroom cabin that I will build first, then a 32x24 garage with a loft apartment above it where I will live and then rent the cabin out to my 18 year old cousin that needs some guidance because of his drunk father. and then next summer I will build my nice A-frame home..... So this will probably be my final post until it's time to start the challenge again.... this country boy has work to do and a kid to save.

Good night and Good luck.

Good deal if it is a nice 5 acres where you can use the entire piece.

But that isn't big enough if you have any other dopes on any side of you.

Best to have 5 acres with something like wetlands or timber company land around you.

I liked mine for the first 20+ years but now people are getting property in my area and screwing things up since I have to put up with them now.

10 acres is a better size.

But at least here I can shoot my gun during the day and they can kiss my ass.

Btw I will be showing a picture later of the fish stealing otter I introduced to Betsy the 12 gauge a couple days ago after I caught it in the pond.

If only that worked with a couple of these new neighbors wink

Go for it, Dshock. Buy land....as much as you can. I'd rather own 200 acres and live in a tent rather than buy 5 acres and build a house.

On the other hand, I'd rather buy 66 acres of prime Idaho land and build a house Two eyes and teeth

Here's the future site of the mighty_colts_ranch:
5 acres 22k Idaho610
5 acres 22k Idaho611
5 acres 22k Idaho612

66 acres of Idaho greenage, plentiful water, mild summers/snowy winters. Perfect horse/cattle land. No state income tax. Low property tax. Awesome. When I buy, everybody is invited to visit the property. We'll camp out, grill steaks and burgers. Do some fishing.

Two eyes and teeth unripebooya Two eyes and teeth booya Two eyes and teeth

Price for the land in the photos: $500k.

Now we may know why there's no Mrs. Mighty? lol

Tents for long stretches generally don't go well with the ladies... at least that's been my experience. sucks

Hell Mighty... you should sponsor some Elk hunts out there for the boards non-vegetarions ...

And Cravn you think 22K for 5 is cheap? My lord I remember 12 years ago I could have got close to the same spread for 1K an acre. But that was before Indy started turning into little Chicago...

Now Cravn imagine the thourobreds we could raise on a spread like the one MC has his eye on.....

Thats horse heaven out there.... Hmmm I hear there are grizzers out there though.....

I have an apointment with the lady that is selling this friday so I'll know more then.... She wants payments to set her up a little for retirement... and I want to pay her cash up-front...... But we all know BS walks and money talks..... (Magic isn't the only one with some green in the safe... LOL all those years of cash-money side work has it's benefits....)

And of course my newly adult cousin will get a taste of what it is to work for your money as well.. he will learn a skill.... I was always hitting jobsites up when I was a kid as young as 14-15 years old and making money every summer... or the local farmers were always looking for strong young men and they paid very well too.....

Kids today are just pussies....

Yeah, land in MD was cheaper few years ago but it priced me out when the Mrs and I looked to build..In 99 when we started planning 2 acres was going to run me 85,000 and that was with no well. In PA I bought my lot wich is 1.89 acres with a well that gives me 10 gpm for 29,000..

ha ha ha.....no way, man. No hunting on my property. I don't mind dropping an elk or deer somewhere else, but not on my land. I want animals to live on my land, I don't want to kill them and drive them away!!

It's the people who I want to drive away from my land!!! Booya!!! lol

Well, except for the good people, like the BC folks....and my fellow Constitution-loving, Feedom-Fighting, Patriotic Americans. But I may take a few pop shots at THEM, too!!! (if I drink too many beers) clap

But you're more than welcome to bring in some championship thoroughbreds, and let them mingle with my Colts.....they'll spend their days in the sunshine, munching on tender green grass, breathing clean air.

Still negotiating with the old lady....

she's a pretty shrewd old bird...... LOL

but she likes me and LOVES my dog... she'll come around before too long......

My engineer buddy is going over the plans I designed for my cabin and says he doesn't see a real problem with anything.... says he'll send them to the architectural drafter sometime next week to be drawn up.....

keeping my fingers crossed..... this has been my little american dream for a few years.....

Just think.... living DEBT FREE and paying cash for everything for the rest of your life..... Completely free americans are a dying breed.... hopefully the mortgage crisis and the credit card scandals wake some people up..
