heh heh heh.......well, I can never resist a religious thread. Magic set it up nice. The way I see it, that woman doesn't know how the Lord will judge, none of us do. I don't know how she interprets the New Testament, but obviously the Lord doesn't forgive without repentance first.

Sure, in the New Testament, He teaches that we will be judged to the same standard that we have judged others......sure, He teaches that we will obtain the same level of mercy that we have offered others....sure, He teaches that we will receive as we have given. However.......while He teaches tolerance, forgiveness and mercy......He also says He's a God of war, with a sword in His hand!! In my opinion, He meant that both literally and figuratively. Make no mistake, Jehovah is NO wimp!!!

If we condemn the innocent, we condemn Jehovah.
If we condem the repentant and forgiven, we condemn Jehovah.
Each time we wrong the innocent and deal falsely with our neighbor, we openly shame Jehovah and condemn him to the Cross yet again!!!

While I don't believe a murderer, even if they are totally repentant, will ever dwell in the direct presence of the Godhood, I do think the repentant murderer will obtain a level of piece of mind and clear conscience. The less we possess this, the deeper in hell we are.....alas, what we call "hell" is pain of conscience!! This is the everlasting, immeasurable misery and torment talked about in Scriptures. The deeper our rebellion and disobedience, the deeper in "hell" we are.

Remember, the Lord accused the Pharisees of being "blind guides". The Pharisees responded, "Are you implying that we, the righteous, are blind?" Then the Lord gives them the devastating answer...."The blind are innocent, but since you say "We see".....your sin remains"


That's powerful stuff.....who else but the Son of Man could wield such power??? Not even Moses himself could carry that sword....and Moses was one of the most powerful men to ever live!! The One who declared the Scriptures fulfilled is the Same who gave Moses the Scriptures in the first place!! The Son and the Father are One and the Same!! Two Men, but as One!! Who else but Jehovah or the Father could declare the Scriptures fulfilled???


Jehovah.....don't mess with Him. Nobody can escape.

My comment on not having an opinion was toward the cop's criminal case - not religon!

I'm Lutheran... daughter gets married soon at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Many are far more fervent in their knowledge and faith-based lives than I. But I believe one's beliefs are deep in the heart and sole. Our lord knows the real us - better than we know ourselves. I'll let others speak out for me.
