2009 Super Bowl odds

The Las Vegas Hilton Monday posted futures odds on the 2009 Super Bowl at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa and also updated numbers on this year's AFC and NFC Championships as well as the Feb. 3 Super Bowl in Glendale, Ariz.
New England, which completed the 2007 regular season with an unblemished 16-0 record, was posted as an overwhelming 9/5 choice to cop Super Bowl XLIII on Feb. 1, 2009.' Reigning Super Bowl champion Indianapolis was a 6/1 second pick, while San Diego and Dallas opened at 10/1.
Another pair of current playoff clubs, Jacksonville and Green Bay were posted at 15/1, while Pittsburgh, which lost in the weekend's opening postseason round, was hung at 25/1.

Bunched at 30/1 were Seattle, Denver, Philadelphia, Tennessee, Chicago, Minnesota, New Orleans and the New York Giants.
Cincinnati, Cleveland, Tampa Bay, Washington and Arizona went up at 40/1, with St. Louis opening at 50/1.
Carolina and Houston were posted at 60/1.
Grouped at 100/1 were Baltimore, Buffalo, Detroit, San Francisco, Kansas City and Oakland.
Michael Vick-less Atlanta was hung at 200/1, while hapless Miami had the distinction of being the long shot at 300/1.
Eight teams remain alive in the chasse for Super Bowl XLII rings, with the Pats a humongous 4/7 pick.
New England is 1/3 to dominate the AFC.
The Giants, one of two remaining wild card teams along with Jacksonville, are a 40/1 long shot to grab the NFL's biggest spectacle and 9/1 to seize NFC honors.
Other Super Bowl numbers are Cowboys, 7/1; Chargers, 14/1; Seahawks, 35/1; Jaguars, 14/1; and Packers, 8/1.
Remaining odds to win the AFC are Indy, 7/2, San Diego, 9/1; and Jacksonville, 9/1.
NFC numbers are Cowboys, 5/5; Seahawks, 8/1; and Packers, 3/2.
