What a concert heading our way!!!!

Baltimore will play host to a stop on country music superstar Kenny Chesney's 2008 "Poets & Pirates" tour.

Chesney's promoters said Monday that M&T Bank Stadium, home of the Baltimore Ravens, will house the tour on May 10. The traveling road show includes some of country music's biggest acts.

As the Baltimore Business Journal first reported in December, the show will include Brooks & Dunn, Big & Rich, LeAnn Rimes and Gary Allan. Keith Urban and former Van Halen lead singer Sammy Hagar will also appear on several dates of the tour. It has not yet been announced whether the latter will be on the bill in Baltimore.

Chesney was the second biggest concert act of 2007, behind '80's rock group the Police's reunion tour.

In December, Mark Burdett, vice president of corporate sales for the Ravens, said the team will act as a promoter on the all-day concert along with Los Angeles-based AEG Worldwide and Dallas-based Messina Group. Burdett would not comment on the financial details behind the Ravens acting as a promoter for the show.

The show will be the first major concert at M&T Bank Stadium since 2005.

Dont hurt his feelings, 2Shock thinks everybody is a Colts Fan..He can have John Cougar Buggle Gum Rocker Melloncamp.

As I recall, Peyton and Kenny were college roommates... Peyton sang on one of his recorded and released albums. Kenny's been to several home games here, in the center of the football universe.

Peyton was onstage w/ KC at his last two or three concerts here, as well.

That would qualify 2shock's comment, me thinks.
