OK the rumor I am hearing

Ok..

Let me update my current situation for you guys out there..

I am now working in the IT department at the Indy Star, so I get to talk to some of the big shot reporters there...

Sounds like Rob Lowe is on the right track from listening to them and that Manning is seriously considsering retirement and it might be announced by late February if it is going to happen....

DO NOT post links etc or quote this message in any way shape or form if they figured out it was me and it went public I could get in big trouble over it.

But thats what I am hearing.

I got to meet Phil B today.... that guy is seriously 1 funny person.... He sat by us in a meeting and had us rolling all though it. He's a generally really good guy. Him and Chappell do the the majority of the Colts stuff.

I haven't got to meet Bob Kravitz yet I don't know if he is in the building or if he works from home (alot of them do alot of that) I'll try and kick you guys back what I might hear around the horn when I can...

Dshock, does the Colts mascot walk around the Indy Star building, just like those mascots that walk around in those ESPN commercials?

Heres the thing though, I think Pay-A-Ton needs 2 more years in to qualify for his pension..Does he have enough to live off for 50 years in the bank?

Now I'm 99.98% positive that you know more about the NFL pension rules than I, John... but I find it hard to believe that 18 hasn't yet qualified for the pension.

And I also believe that he has MORE than enough to live for the next 50. Besides, you think he'll just go sit and rock on the front porch? Who cares about what he has now. He'll earn more than all of us combined EVERY year that he's "retired." (well, except for our resident Steinbeck, eh-say)
