SUMMER Finally Here? Empty Re: SUMMER Finally Here?

Yea, from talking to Noel he was saying it appears the rainy season is all but over in the Northwest. I'm planning on a visit to Portland some time in September (before it starts raining every day again). We've had summer here for about a month now -- a few 3-day 90+ days with high humidity. Never really had much of a spring. Went from cool and damp in late April right into hot and sticky. Oh and lots and lots of heavy rain storms.

That was a doozie of a storm yesterday eh? The tornado alarms were screaming thru here and northern Md for over a half an hour.

We have to be the only area where we had the heat on in the beginning of May to full blown A/C on by the end of May.

Yeah the nice thing is we never get wind storms this time of year....just rain.....and it did start raining again tonight but just a little and my mowing is pretty much done (I burned all $20 worth of gas and even had to push the Deere back in the garage)

But by the time you get to Portland it should be decent weather Blue.

We eventually get up in the 80's and 90's but we never know when.

So far we have less than 7 days even over 70 degrees total this year.

But these days I wouldn't mind it being 70 every day so I can get my projects taken care of before I am completly over the hill lol

Hey look I am taller than that sequoia tree smile

I finally bought a new chainsaw after 30+ years and I had a nice 65 degree day so I tested it by cutting down these 2 big alders.

And I can still fall a tree as accurate as those goofy loggers we see on tv these days.

You can't see em in the picture but I had to make em land between some other sequoias so they didn't get messed up and these alders were big leaners...which is why I even cut em down.

Down in front of me is the creek and the little waterfall.

Cravn: Storms pretty much bypassed me last evening (I'm on the east side of Lancaster). I did hear Delta mentioned as being in the track of things last evening.

Nah my chainsaw days are over.

Pellet stove for 12 years now and I ran my last saw for over 30 years and just got this one to cut down a couple trees on the property that I am replacing with giant sequoia's

I have a couple smaller ones to cut down next to the driveway since they are in the way of things like a UPS truck lol

This saw will retire looking new and it's original blade will still be sharp.

Btw I was amazed at how fast it cut those alders down!

But hey you could use that Stihl saw to protect the family from illegal aliens and just all the usual crooks down there ramborampage

Another blazing hot June here in the Great NW

June 14th

55 degrees and a cold ass north wind at the same time.

Which made it feel like in the upper 40's and some rain.

Al Snore you are so brilliant

lol well I did get lucky and the rain stopped and the sun came out minutes before the girls came home from shopping.

And you probably know what happens when 2 women shop in the same car!

It was packed from the front seat to the trunk.

I must admit that it was sunny all day today and as usual when I made my 1 mile trip to the store to get Deere gas I put my hair up under my hat before I left.

The beard....well when you have that nobody is going to talk shit to a 6' 4" 262lb guy wearing sunglasses and his black Indy Colts cap laughing

I'm willing to bet I am the only Bookie Challenge member with more hair on my head than all of you combined joker

But really....I will actually cut off the beard if we EVER get more than 2 days in a row of sunshine here (not cutting my locks though since I still am not an old gray haired geezer like....)

Once again all day tomorrow mowing my lawn again Rolling Eyes

The next day it will rain.

LOL well funny thing is my younger brother (just turned 49) has been bald for about 20 years and he was shaving the rest off all the time but last time I saw him he was letting that fur on the back and sides grow out a little.

Thank GOD I am more like some other members of my family and am not close to ever going bald and like my old uncle (he's 80) mine isn't completly gray yet.

Still more dark than gray and the beard is mixed too but it has parts that are total dark still for some reason.

I told Mighty_G years ago I could make him a wig

Well here you go kiddies....

Burton "the voice" Cummings of all those Guess Who songs since 1968 and who can still sound that good.

And yes that kid on lead guitar is Randy Bachman of the future band known as Bachman Turner Overdrive
