Very Nice, Magic. BTW, you never said anything about the Canterbury accommodations. Would you stay there again? I'd like to think that someday I'll make it to Indy for a visit. Last week's illness pretty much sucked but I'm now on the mend. Did you try a piece of shoo-fly-pie?

Thanks Cravn.......as you can tell I tend to take thousands of pictures smile

That first pic is a shamrock plant that came from my great-grandmother and is older than I am.

The tall sequoia next to the house was 4ft tall when I planted it 19yrs ago and is now 50ft tall........and the palm tree is almost 10ft tall now......and the bright red bush behind the house by the purple tree is an actual "burning bush" I planted about 10yrs ago.

Hey can you send Drew by to help me haul the other 1000lbs of pellets home today???

I did 2 trips last week with the wifes car and did the first 1000lbs.

So 2 more trips......and I figured I better get out and do at least one trip today since it is sort of sunny right now sunny

Well there was good things and bad about the Canterbury hotel Blue.

I guess a better room with a better view would have helped.

But it was right next to St Elmo's where we all had dinner after the game so that made it easy.

The high-speed internet they mention means you can connect a laptop if you bring one.......other than that they had one cheap-o pc in the lobby that needed updates (which I couldn't do since you have to be the admin)

We never even looked at the bar.......the restaurant was small but nice since we only went in a couple times when there was nobody else in the room.

The best and cheapest way to eat there was having the food delivered to your room (we had a club sandwich each night) and didn't take anything out of that room booze/munchie fridge since it was over-priced crap.

We just went to the store (Kurt took us) and got enough to keep in our room for the 5 days we were there.

The employees were nice......but then they better be......and I'm sure they make enough money.

I still prefer the Omni hotel which is right next to it.

Both are attached to the mall so you just take the stairs or elevator from the hotel to the mall and Colts Pro shop and it is downtown so it is a short walk to everything.

Cravn and I took the walking tour and the wife and I did a few times.

Wish you would have been there too!

We had the 2 shoo-fly pies at the tailgate and we have a couple pictures but they were taken by Kurts sis-in-law so we have to wait until he gets back from his cruise so he can email them to me and I will post them on the picture thread.

You would have loved the trip bro hellyes

Ok I better get to work.......and go haul another 12 or 13 bags of stove pellets home since they are payed for and it is about as nice outside as it gets here this time of year!

(edit)

Oh I forgot to add while I was on that lobby pc I heard a person ask at the desk about some sort of exercise area and they said "2nd floor" so I checked later and found nothing but the next day when we went up to go to the mall we walk by the room and could see through the glass what looked like a row of treadmill machines and it looked big so I decided to open the door and see if they had any weights or a bench......turned out it was a tiny room and the walls were all mirrors so it was nothing but 2 treadmills and on the floor 2 ten lb dumbells laughing

And in the rooms the tv selection was pitiful and the local cable is at dispute with the Indy network channels so they were using other network channels from other areas in the State.

But since we were visitors I didn't mind watching local news to see how it was nothing like Seattle news and the same with the Indy gov. channel info.

And the other funny thing was on the way home I checked my pockets in my Colts leather jacket while sitting at O'Hare in Chicago and notice I still have the brass key to my room 403 at Canterbury and the key to the booze/munchie fridge.....not sure why they didn't ask for that when we checked out smile
