Looks like experience won out

I tell you what.....it was a lot easier to watch the replay of the game last night after watching the live version first!

Geezuz, what a comeback last night!!
I took the Lakers -7.5 for the second half and was bitching out loud when it was 65-45. Then Kobe catches fire, the Lakeshow remembers how to play D (even Sasha!!
) and my bar tab doesn't seem like such a burden anymore..
However, I will not count out the Champs by any stretch, even if the Lakeshow holds homecourt Friday. Jeanne's boyfriend knows better too..
And as much as I'd like to see LA/BOS (which IMO is a better matchup for us) Detroit has experience o'plenty and should give the Celts a good run, if not the upset..

I tell ya what I think, and I hate Pro B-Ball
The melt down by the Spurs Wed night had to be up there with the greatest chokes of all times, this was bigger than the Colts choke at home vs the Bolts or the Patsies loss to the G-Men in this years SB.

I have seen bigger NBA playoff melt-downs than that one Cravn.
And you weren't even close when it comes to NFL melt-downs.
(Buffalo vs Denver among many others)

Well, choke is the operative word for sure. It ranks right up there but not with the Oilers choke vs the Bills. I remember I had the Oilers and 3 points. Was up by over 30 or more at half time and wound up with a push.

I'm posting that rap to convince myself as much as anything. As a Laker fan, I can't help but to have developed a healthy respect for the Spurs over the last 10 years.
It just feels too good to see my boys back amongst the elite again since the Shaqle debacle. Felt even better to see the Suns peter out after they traded for the Big Has-been..

Well 4ABUC I make Laker's 5-1 favorites right now. Hardly anyone comes back from being down 2-0 and we just did it against Orleans. Lightning would have to strike twice for that to happen. Hell, if you look at it that way maybe the Laker's are a million to 1 favs. I don't think anyone has come back when down 2-0 twice in a row

But if they reset the clock on Fisher's shot like they should've, that play never happens. Bad officiating on both sides, really.
Had me biting my nails for sure, but a great show..

Yeah they owed Fish a payback call (actually several) since his shot did hit the rim and bounce out of bounds off Horry so the Lakers should have got the ball and that would have forced a SA foul before the clock runs out and chances are that would have been Kobe shooting 2 to make it a 4 point lead with about the same amount of time that Barry had on that........what ever the hell he was doing.
Believe me we saw a million replays and Laker board guys quickly posted a youtube video of the play.
Barry could have got a travel call on that and as he tried to move he ducks down and dribbles with his right hand and with his left hand he pushes off Fish as Fish is coming back down on that play.
Even on a bad call it was just 2 ft's not 3.
