One of my all-time favorites is Joseph Hill and Culture who I haven't seen in Seattle for a while so I decided to check the online link for the tour and find out that in august Joseph Hill passed away in Berlin on the tour bluehoo

He wrote and did the vocals on every song since they started back in the 1970's and was still writing and singing new great ones.

I have more of their CD's than any others.

.....sure a lot of music on the web these days......glad I'm on the satellite now.

RIP Joseph Hill 1949-2006

I watched and enjoyed the 7's. Raggae has been something I've always asso. w/ vacation time, so it puts me "in a good place."

Thanks for that, Magic.

That second link is one where he does 2 of his great songs together.

And you can see on those pages there is over 1000 reggae music videos.

Some are from the 70's and some are newer.

Hard to believe these guys have all of these videos

Are there any 70s vintage videos from the Osmond Family Singers?

Ya know....Donny and Marie. Don't forget about Jimmy.

Who can forget their outrageous hardcore stage antics....where do you think Ozzy and Gene Simmons got their ideas from?? Biting the heads off bats, spiting blood into the crowd, ect ect. Nobody could work the crowd into a frenzy like Donny and Marie.

Yep, before Oz and KISS....the Osmond Family was trail blazing new raunchy hardcore 1970s territory which would define the next 10 or 15 years. I mean, c'mon........I'll bet Marie used at least 3 cans of hairspray for each gig. That's radical, man!! Donny with his big hair....Jimmy in his rebellious bell bottoms and shoulder-length hardcore mop-top, parted on the side, neatly combed. They were pushing the envelope, no doubt.

And yes, my very first concert was an Osmond gig in Oakland back in either 1973 or 74, I forget which. An outdoor stage in the Oakland hills......it was actually pretty cool.

chug

Mighty.......you should always deny that........or was that a "John Kerry" joke?

I remember back in the 8th grade I had these girls that had their lockers on both sides of mine and they had Donny Osmond posters inside their lockers and after I told them they were making me puke they started bugging me every day with those Donny posters.........they must have used too much hairspray too joker

I think Led Zeppelin at the Kingdome in 1977 was my first.

Here is another one of a kind reggae video for you!

This is an old friend of mine (Earl "The Rootsman" Chin) who started his own TV show back in the 1970's in Jamaica and also ran in from NYC for decades.

This is on his show in 1978 handing the mic to the greatest reggae singer ever and writer of 100's of great tunes for over 30 years and still is touring..."The Cool Ruler" Gregory Isaacs Reggae Music Cool-smiley-027

Singing one of his first hit songs.......I hope he gets back to Seattle since he is one reggae singer I have no problem getting the wife to go see smile

I haven't seen him for years and it has been a long time since I last talked to the Rootsman who used to play me all the tunes I wanted when he had a satellite TV show ("Reggae Around the World") and we would bs on the phone for hours about sports and anything else while he was in NYC and I was right here.

I have many hours of cassettes with me and Earl talking and him even singing a song to my son when he was just 5yrs old all over the western hemisphere via satellite smile

You think thats bad...In 77 my girl friend dragged my to a Barry Manilow concert...I think I smoked enough pot to make G-Man proud that night. horsey

Shoot.. I had to see Sir Elton John in... '76? (year of the big glasses and red/white/blue tophat) And GayBarry too... Both were great shows, though. KISS... REO Speedwagon... Allman Brothers... Gregg Allman... (numerous times for each...) Chase (remember those horns?) Earth Wind & Fire... Diana Ross (guess who drug me there?) of course the Dave Matthews Band, possibly the best was Spiro Gyra in a small intimate venue or Dizzy Gillespie at Haaavaaard outdoors during a lobster fest.

Oh, and Magic, who can overlook the numerous unknown reggae bands playing the beach resorts in the Caribbean, mon?

And many my state of mind at the time won't allow me to remember from the mid to late 70's...! Peter Frampton? Rush?
