This christmas season is costing me freaking money out the butt.

First the truck, then the faucet, now my damn router bricked.

What is it about god not giving you more than you can handle? Well I have had about enough now.

This is turning into the holiday season from hell for me.

Well only put up with that holiday for the wife (she is a catholic girl)

And I Chanukah bug her so I don't have to put the damn tree in the house lol

But GOD told me long ago to collect Ben Franklin's and always pay my bills and not buy things I can't afford.

Which is why I just payed cash for the $1700 refrigerator when our 7 year old one dies a couple weeks ago and I bought the most expensive leather furniture in the store on my way home from my doc appointment to replace the leather furniture I bought in 1983

I expect this to last until I am in my 80's

My Jag has been in the shop for a month and I hope the guy will be nice and not over charge me since I never drive it.

My 4X4 is still looking and running good considering I bought it when I was 18 smile

The main thing is don't let the credit card satan screw things up Bah Humbug Picture424

Yeah Magic, I have always pretty much been a cash and carry person myself, until of course my Dad convinced me that buying this and going into mortgage debt was a great thing. Grrrrrrr

I am not happy at all with this whole mortgage business and can't believe I let him talk me into it instead of just doing what I had planned.... And I threw down about 35% on this house, and now because the market tanked I can't even really get my money back out of it. I am not happy and haven't been since I bought it.

Especially when I could have bought the place I threw up on that link and paid freaking cash for it. (and it is 2 minutes from the lake, where I am always happiest) Now I am stuck in Indy until I can get money'd up again.... Just makes me sick because I really worked my butt off working full time and then doing side jobs all the time as well.

ANd I am with you, I will keep my beautiful old 4x4 and drive it until I die, I like the convertible as well, but I am going to trade it off for a corvette this summer.. (around a 78-81 is what I am wanting).. and then I will just fix those if they need it. New cars are the worst scam, and investment in the world!

You know the good thing is I can tell you know what is the best way to go and yeah it is hard to get around that "Dad" thing but I bet he won't try that again.

It may take a few years but maybe you could make rent money off that place to pay for it and then sell it later when things get back to where they were a couple years ago when places sold for big bucks in the Real Estate world.

I could make a pile of cash off my place but I will never sell it so I will just try to avoid running up a credit card since they charge that big monthly fee even if you don't owe much (I plan on just paying mine off since I have the cash stashed and don't like giving them the extra $50 every month)

Have you been looking at the Vette's on Ebay???

I am a car junkie so I have been looking at Rolls Royce and sometimes classic cars and the prices are usually the best and some of those guys can really show a page of pictures and info cheerstoyou

And it seems lots of them are back east so they are closer to you.

Yeah I check them out on Ebay alot, but we also have a family friend that is part owner of the auto auction over here as well. There is also a classic vette specialist up in Fairmount, Indiana. He usually has some very nice cars up there for reasonable money. Plus we are also very close to Glasgow, Kentucky and that place might be the classic car capital of the midwest.

I've thought about the renting thing, but the thing that holds me back is if they stop paying rent it can take forever to actually get those people out. And then they always fuck things up as well and try to hide it.

I'll figure something out though, I don't need a HUGE rebound to come away getting something out of it since I did get a great deal on it. So until then I just keep updating something to raise the value. Now that my truck is up and able I will be getting very busy on the interior.
