To me, that would have been a slap in the face to the Bronco's organization. The NFL players retire as players, not with a specific team affiliation, unlike baseball.

I know it is hard to admit that Unitas was not  close to being as good as Peyton Manning

That pint sized #19 would have been killed in the 21st century NFL since he could not move around like Flutie or Fran or Drew who also took away those Unitas career stats.

Unitas would have the record for hitting   the most O-lineman  in the back of the head

Manning will always be pay pay, add up his money over his 18 year career. Pay pay made 15 mil last season as basically a back up, and he was due to make 19 MIL this year.

January Joe deserves every penny he gets. It's how the market works.

They ALL deserve every freaking penny they can finagle from the billionaire-lets move games overseas from our paying fan base-owners.  I'd take every dime I could get and would never begrudge anything anyone is able to negotiate.
