Any of you ever been to Boston?? Taking Abby to the Red Sox/Yankmees game the final weekend of the year. Looking for a couple of things to do while where there. Also thinking about making the trip down to NY also to see the 911 Memorial.

Never been to Massachusetts but since the Rat Sox suck more than the Yankees you might get to watch the Yankees WIN clap

Went to NY back in 1986 and if you never have been there you will be amazed at what the Big Apple looks like when you are actually standing on the sidewalk looking up at the hundreds of tall buildings and thousands of people 24/7

It makes any other city look like a small town lol

Have fun

I've been to Boston on many, many business trips and, believe it or not, saw the Yankees play Boston at Fenway in 1961 and watched Roger Maris hit one of his 61 home runs!

You're gonna see a game in Fenway so that's definitely a bucket list item to check off.

The 2-day hop-on/off trolley is a great and relatively inexpensive way to get around the city (and a whole lot safer than trying to fight Boston drivers). I'd suggest the Skywalk observatory to get a feel for the entire town from high up then do some touring. The Freedom Trail Walking tour is a historical jaunt through Boston history, see the Paul Revere House and the Old State House. Those are all that I can speak of and it's been almost 20 years since we did the tour...there may be some newer attractions (but Boston is all about the history from my perspective).

In New York you definitely want to do the 9/11 Memorial -- getting there and doing the tour will consume a half a day by itself. Take a New York cab ride for the experience and hope your driver at least wears shoes and speaks a semblance of English.

Spent a month in "Boston" in 1986. Commercial Union Insurance Co. (they're no longer…) sponsored commercial lines school.
Best 30 days of my life.
Actually stayed in Wenham, Mass. at what was originally the Bridgestone family's summer home. Spent our "off time" in Glouchester. Had the pleasure of spending St. Patrick's day in a local pub owned by a classmate's brother.
On salary. Had $1500 cash to cover expenses. School, travel, room, 3 squares daily - paid-for. I lived like a rock-star for a month. Three weeks in… called for another $500.

Ate and drank at the original Cheers bar. Found an underground TGI Fridays and ate fresh seafood from an ice trough at the bar and drank for hours one Saturday watching college football. Good times. Much younger… half my current age, come to think of it...
