Cal Ripken was better

Didn't get to watch, because the bride and I took a road trip to King's Island, just north of CIncy.  But, too bad Pat Neshek took the loss.  He was a teammate of my son while at Butler.  Great kid, been thru 2 Tommy John surgeries, and incredible personal sadness as well.  Sure wish his first appearance could have turned out better, but hey... HE WAS PLAYING IN THE FREAKING ALL-STAR GAME!

Jeter the Yankee > Ripkin the Bird

Jeter 3,408 hits in 10,952 AB's so far > Ripkin 3,184 in 11,551 AB's

Jeter didn't switch to 3rd base because he can still play SS and Ripkin had to play next to a foul line   

And 5 World Series rings to one

Well the NL's starting pitcher was the main reason the AL won and the best part of the game was while Jeter played on defense and starting the game with a double and then a single   

Funny watching the intro to all the players and I only heard of the AL players and the only NL's I heard of were the coaches   

But just being on the All Star team is great even on the losing team especially if you make it back the very next season.

I didn't watch the HR Derby since I didn't think Reggie Jackson woudl be in the contest   

Neshek didn't get the win but neither did Felix the Cat from Seattle!

Looks like the O's gained Home Field Advantage throughout the World Series
