The overwhelming favorite and rightfully so, California Chrome was purchased at auction 3 years ago for a basement bargain price of 8,000 dollars. From the crowd, it was heard "Only a dumb ass would buy that thing" (the mother to california chrome had a dismal career)

So if you watch the preakness saturday, Chrome's jockey will have a Donkey on his back, and on his sleeve will have DAP...Dumb Ass Partners..

Their 8,000 investment has returned 1.4 million to date..
