Interesting phone call today

Chip Ganassi Racing invited me to submit a resume for a trackside IT Tech.

My very first job was as a runner for an Indycar team, I just think it's cool to even be considered really... that would be a tough gig, hanging around at race tracks surrounded by pretty women and beer eh?

I couldn't do it, the temptation is to easy for me, hell when I was at ups I couldn't drive by pimlico without throwing on the 4 ways and declaring my lunch hour.

Met with their IT director and the team manager today.

Seemed to go well. Hoping they make an offer sometime next week. If not I will keep helping bringing you guys all the Colts and Pacers coverage that you can handle

Their Indy car shop is in well Indy, and their NASCAR shop is in North Carolina. Lol the guy told me they travel with a damn chef. I don't know if this country boy can handle that kind of culture lol

Yea, but you're a quick learner. Or at least you better be.

I wouldn't hesitate, Dshock, even if it paid a little less than what you make now....just for the experience of doing that

Don't waste this opportunity if offered, and I've just met the good ole boys from north Carolina they are here for the 500 and our head mechanic has rubbed elbows with them over the past 15 years, so brush up on some nascar history, moonshine and Harley Davison because that's what they are into.

brush up on some nascar history, moonshine and Harley Davison because that's what they are into.

I'm into one of those three… and I don't own a Harley.

Oh well, didn't materialize.

I think I wanted too much money for it.
