Wow. What a display of points from me this week. 1 point. That's more than I've scored in what, 3 weeks?

Sigh... if it wasn't for all the nice things you all say about me, I wouldn't waste all those chips every year...

Yeah, I think Blue is sending a message with that Fresh avatar.

But he's actually RIGHT about that!! There's a decent list of ladies who basically hate my living guts. I'm not proud of that, but there are just some things that are out of my control lol

Re: Weekly Picks, Results and Standings

Post  ColtsKurt on 11/14/2011, 4:04 pm

I'd like to chime in with just a couple of my thoughts on this realistic chance to go 0-16...

I'm growing indifferent about it all. I'm not mad at the Colts, its wierd. I see where we've had devastating injuries at key positions. Then the replacements went down. We've many that have taken their initial NFL snaps this year, in a starting role. Our defensive backfield is in shambles, although Bethea (41) is having an outstanding year. Angerer at MLB is off the charts. But the rest? Some weren't even practice squad quality.

The offense... wow. Amazing ineptitude. What little Painter showed early has given way to a steady regression. The o-line has probably had 10 different lineups. "Next man up!" has morphed to "Is there anyone left?" Dallas (44) couldn't even catch the replays of his drops on the big screens.

Peyton's neck is the big concern and worry. Many here think he's done. Never to return in a Colts uniform. If the neck doesn't end his career, I don't see how they could afford 18's contract and that of the #1 pick. I question if someone could absorb that contract we just signed him to. Good god, they wouldn't release him, uncompensated, would they? Sigh...

I'm no Polian fan, he's mean spirited and condescending to all. And it is disturbing how much his heir Chris, sounds like him. But, if you happen to follow Jim Irsay's Twitter account like I do, I still feel better with them in charge over Jim. Thank god he's smart enough to play owner and pay others do the work. He's working hard to convince me that he's bat-shit crazy with some of those tweets...

At the end of the day, one good thing will come from this pathetic display we have seen 10 times this season... I won't have a playoff ticket invoice arrive in the coming weeks.

Couple of reactions to this: If I was Peyton coming off my third neck surgery in 18 months and have millions in the bank I'd hang'em up. Not worth the chance of a life-threatening injury going forward (and with that O-line it's frightening). The new CBA pretty much capped rookie contracts/bonuses so even if the Colts draft Luck, they won't be looking at much more, probably, than 2-3 million for the first 4 years (they paid Collins 4 million to pitch the ball around for, what, four games?).

Sickening. Truly sickening. Almost up there with the PSU fiasco for me.

I hear ya, Blue. However, a far different kind of sickening from the PSU situation.

And I don't think we know yet the full story on PSU. I hear that's going to go to far reaching depths of disgusting-ness. They pulled Paterno's name from the Big 10 trophy today. It goes further than we know now.

Well boys......this year mirrors the 1991 season almost exactly. I know we all remember that year very well. All the injuries, first to the starters, then to the backups.

We won 1 game in '91....and who did we beat??

J-E-T-S

JETS
JETS
JETS

We beat 'em 21-20.

That one win made that entire season for me hellyes

Anyway, we ended up with the first TWO picks in the '92 draft, and we took Emtman and Coryatt. And it looks like this time we'll take Luck.

But we can't complain, though......we had an historic run with Manning. I'm not complaining one bit. It's been awesome.
