Yes as the link to that Yahoo page points out it actually has nothing to do with the constellation Perseus but is the comet Swift-Tuttle

I always see a few that are not close to the Perseid.

I wish I had a good telescope right now because with the clear sky and no moon out Jupiter would be easy to look at.

Another perfect night here Cravn smile

60 degrees and I just came back in the house (almost 5am)

I saw lots of meteors and a couple were nice bright ones.

7 orbital satellites and for the first time in all my years I watched 3 or those satellites cross each others path so close it looked like they would run into each other (almost 23,000 miles up)

Then as I am watching Orion come up above the east horizon I see a bright light in the opposite direction so I turn and look west and sure enough it was the ISS and I watched it cross the sky until it was gone!

And the entire time just behind me I could see the brightest thing in the sky again all night Jupiter hellyes

It is always the most fun if you are out there on a clear night with no Moon and it is this warm out there from midnight until just before sunrise......back in the day I would also add a .........well that is another story lol
